A Little Spooky, Still On Brand

Halloween is one of those holidays that gives brands a lot of room to get creative. But that doesn't mean every brand needs to suddenly become orange, black, and covered in ghosts.
At Inovatory, we start with the brand first. What already makes them recognizable? What does their audience care about? And where does Halloween naturally fit into that story?
For some brands, the connection is obvious. Nico Pico is a candy brand, so Halloween gives us a lot to play with. Candy hauls, themed recipes, spooky drinks, and creative ways to use chamoy can all feel fun and seasonal while still being completely natural for the brand.
For Taqueria 2 Potrillos, the pumpkin horchata gives us an actual seasonal product to build around. Instead of creating a Halloween concept just because it's October, we're highlighting something the brand is already offering and finding creative ways to make it part of the content.
Other brands give us an opportunity to think beyond the feed. Halloween is one of the biggest nights of the year for Onyx Room, so our ideas aren't just about what the audience sees on Instagram. We shared concepts with the Onyx team early, and their owner is now working to bring some of those ideas into the actual club décor. In this case, social content can help shape the experience people have when they walk through the doors.
And for our Mexican brands, we're looking beyond the typical Halloween aesthetic and leaning more into Día de los Muertos. It's a chance to create content that connects with the brand's culture and identity while giving us a completely different creative direction to explore.
That's what makes seasonal content fun for us. The holiday might be the same, but the creative approach shouldn't be.
Sometimes the idea starts with a seasonal product. Sometimes it's a cultural connection. Sometimes it's a Reel, a graphic, or a design detail. And sometimes it grows beyond social media and becomes part of the physical experience.
The goal isn't to make a brand look like Halloween.
It's to find the version of Halloween that feels like them.
A little spooky. Still on brand.
